LUXEMBOURG AND HIS UNDERSTANDING ABOUT DEMOCRACY |

DEAR SIRS
THE GRAND DUCHY OF LUXEMBOURG IS A FOUNDER MEMBER OF THE EEC. IN 1948, THE COUNTRY GAVE UP IST NEUTRALITY, TO JOIN THE VARIOUS ECONOMIC, POLITICAL, AND MILITARY ORGANISATIONS OF EUROPE AND THE WORLD. THE COUNTRY IS THE SEAT OF MANY EU INSTITUTIONS AND TAKES AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN MEDIATING BETWEEN THE OTHER MEMBER STATES.
LUXEMBOURG IS A DEMOCRACY. BUT I HAVE TO INFORM SO MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE ABOUT A SITUATION IMPOSSIBLE TO UNDERSTAND IN A DEMOCRACY.
AS AN ITALIAN CITIZEN BORN IN LUXEMBOURG AND STILL MARRIED TO A LUXEMBOURG WOMAN, I AM RAISING QUESTIONS TO MYSELF EVERY DAY. LAST YEAR MY WIFE LEFT OUR HOME. THE DAY AFTER 4 POLICE OFFICER ( GENDARMERIE GRAND-DUCALE ) ENTERED IN MY HOME AND PICKED UP MY 4 CHILDREN ( JULIE, MÉLISSA, ANDY AND LAURENT ) IN ORDER TO BRING THEM TO THEIR MOTHER. THIS WAS DONE WITHOUT ANY WRITTEN PROTOCOL, OR EITHER WITHOUT ANY WRITTEN APROVAL FROM ANY COURT. IN SOUTH-AMERICA AND EASTERN-EUROPE A FEW YEARS AGO SOME DICTATURES WAS THE OBJECTIVE OF OUR MEDIAS FOR THESE SAME POLICE ACTIVITIES. I WOULD LIKE TO BELIEVE THAT IN LUXEMBOURG WE STILL HAVE DEMOCRACY ORDER AND NOT SAME DESTINATION. |
